Nabeel's Story

Nabeel is a 28-year-old Catholic man who came from Pakistan to the U.S. seeking asylum. Allies for Immigration Justice met him when he reached out asking for help in finding an immigration attorney. We referred him to the Santa Barbara Immigrant Legal Defense Center, a local organization that provides pro bono legal services to immigrants. In May 2023, he won his asylum case. Beberly's Story

Read their story, including a message from Beberly.

We invite you to join us in supporting this family!

Sylvester's Story

After surviving torture in Kenya, Sylvester came to the U.S. on a student visa. As young people sometimes do, he made some poor choices and was arrested while in college after getting in with the wrong crowd. Although charged with a misdemeanor, he was advised to plead guilty to a felony, not understanding the immigration consequences.
